Will you be working late shifts during the coming week ? We can guarantee our new Chef won't.

Will you be working most week-ends ? It's very unlikely our new Chef will.

Will you be working this Christmas ? Our new Chef won't, they'll be celebrating with their family and friends at home or abroad.

Our busy times are Monday to Friday during the day, with only the occasional week-end and evening events. Holiday times are particularly quiet and we encourage all staff to take their annual leave then.

The Edinburgh Training and Conference Venue is Scotland’s largest independent training venue. Providing up to 200 delegates with fresh exciting food is key to what we do. Our aim is to delight our clients and exceed their expectations at every opportunity.

You will be involved in all aspects of the kitchen and restaurant. From preparing and cooking food as well as managing all the tasks that are necessary to keep the kitchen running.

We are looking for a person who is friendly, personable and organised who will :-

• Deliver both buffets and restaurant meals that delight our delegates.
• Develop a weekly plan to meet the following week's catering requirements.
• Order, rotate and check stock to ensure that the correct ingredients are available and fresh at all times.
• Effectively manage and motivate a small team, whilst remaining calm when things get busy.
• Ensure we comply with food hygiene, health & safety and all legal requirements.
• Love home baking.
